Icon library terms

The icon library republishes 5,622 logos from two open-source collections so they are easy to find, copy and link to. This page explains what you may do with them. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice; if your use carries real risk, ask a lawyer.

1. Where the icons come from

Color logos are from SVG Logos by Gil Barbara and contributors, released under CC0 1.0.
Brand mono icons are from Simple Icons, released under CC0 1.0, subject to their disclaimer. They are shown in each brand's published color.

The SVG files are served unmodified apart from size attributes, a title, the brand color and, where an icon has its own license, a notice embedded in the file. This site does not claim ownership of any icon.

2. Licenses

CC0 is a public-domain dedication: the collection authors waive their copyright, so you may copy, modify and use the files without asking. Some individual icons are published by their owners under other terms. For 126 icons that license is shown on the icon and embedded in the SVG file.

Credit required (CC BY). Credit the icon as shown on the icon page, for example “Example icon, CC-BY-4.0, via Simple Icons”.
MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, MPL 2.0, Unlicense. Keep the license notice that is embedded in the file.
Left out on purpose.97 icons whose terms are custom, non-commercial, no-derivatives, share-alike or GPL-family are not published here, so that nothing in this library carries surprising conditions.

3. Trademarks come first

Almost every icon here is a trademark or logo of its owner. A copyright license, including CC0, does not grant trademark rights. Brand owners decide how their marks may be used, and many publish brand guidelines, linked on the icon page where known.

Generally acceptable (nominative) uses include:

Identifying a product or service you use, support or integrate with.
Diagrams, documentation, tutorials, slides and résumés that refer to the tool.

Do not use a logo:

To suggest the owner sponsors, endorses or partners with you.
As your own logo, app icon or product name.
On merchandise or anything you sell because of the logo.
Altered against the owner's guidelines (recolored, distorted or combined with other marks), or in a misleading or disparaging way.

4. No affiliation

Abhinav C is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any company whose logo appears in the library. Showing a logo here is not a statement about that company or its products.

5. Linking and hotlinking

You may link to or embed the files directly. They are static and cached, but there is no guarantee of availability: files may change, move or be removed, and heavy automated traffic may be limited. For production use, download the SVG and serve it yourself. Credit back to this site is appreciated and never required, unless the icon's own license requires credit to its owner.

6. No warranty

The library is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Icons may be outdated, inaccurate or no longer the owner's current mark, and license data comes from the upstream projects and may be incomplete. You are responsible for checking that your use complies with the applicable license, brand guidelines and law. To the extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for any claim arising from your use of the icons.

7. Removal requests

If you own a mark shown here and want it removed or changed, email abhinavchamallamudi@outlook.com with the icon's name and link. Valid requests are handled promptly, and the icon is removed from the next build.

These terms may change as the library changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
